Mechanical Requirement

Your mechanical requirements are our priority at UNIASEN. Our ASTM A53 steel pipes are subjected to rigorous mechanical tests, including tension, bend, and flattening, to ensure adherence to the standard’s mechanical properties. With hydrostatic tests applied without leakage through the weld seam or pipe body, we guarantee that our pipes meet your mechanical demands. Choose UNIASEN for pipes that deliver strength, resilience, and reliability in all your applications.

The minimum elongation in  2  in.  [50  mm]  shall  be determined  by  the following equation:
e = 625000 [ 1940] A 0.2/U 0.9
Where:
e     =    minimum elongation in 2 in. or 50 mm in percent, rounded to the nearest percent,
A     =    the lesser of 0.75 in.2  [500 mm2] and the cross-sectional area of the
tension test specimen, calculated using the specified outside diameter of
the pipe, or the nominal width of the tension test specimen and the
specified wall thickness of the pipe, with the calculated value
rounded to the nearest 0.01 in.2  [1 mm2], and
U     =    specified minimum tensile strength, psi [MPa].
B        See  Table  X4.1  or  Table  X4.2,  whichever  is  applicable,  for  the  minimum
elongation values that are required for various combinations of tension test specimen size and specified minimum tensile strength.

Steel Grades

UNIASEN offers ASTM A53 steel pipes in two distinct steel grades: Grade A and Grade B. Whether you require Furnace-butt welded continuous Welded Pipe (Type F), Electric Resistance Welded Pipe (Type E), or Seamless Pipe (Type S), our steel grades are crafted to meet your specific needs. With the raw steel generated using open-hearth furnace, electric furnace, or basic-oxygen process, we ensure quality and consistency in every grade. Trust in our expertise to provide the right grade for your project.
